Get Gary to the Paralympics!

Gary Shane Allpass is a dedicated and accomplished para-equestrian athlete with over 61 years of riding experience and an unwavering passion for the sport of dressage. Despite living with various forms of peripheral neuropathy, including dorsiflexion and plantar flexion impairments, along with other limb-related conditions, Gary has continued to compete at an elite level through determination, resilience, and exceptional horsemanship.

Throughout his career, Gary has proudly represented South Africa in numerous international para-dressage competitions. His achievements include competing in the World Dressage Challenge in 1997 against South American countries, participating in the London 2012 Paralympic Qualifier in 2011, the Rio 2016 Paralympic Qualifier in 2014, and the CPEDI 3* Paralympic Qualifier for Rio 2016 in 2015.
