Help Imkhitha Joya Represent South Africa at the World Youth Chess Championships
The talented 14-year-old Imkhitha Joya, from Old Crossroads, Nyanga in Cape Town, continues to shine on the national stage in 2025.
Earlier this year, Imkhitha won the Western Cape High Schools U15 Girls section with a perfect score of 6/6. She is now preparing for the upcoming South African National Schools Championships. Her biggest achievement this year was at the South African Junior Closed Chess Championships, where she dominated the U14 Girls section, finishing undefeated with 7 wins and 2 draws (8/9) earning her the title of South African U14 Girls Champion 2025.
As a result of her exceptional performance, Imkhitha was selected to represent South Africa in several international events, including:
