God's Miracle - Danie

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Yolandi, and I am writing on behalf of our family to kindly ask for your support for our grandson, Danie Du Plessis.

From birth, Danie had to fight for his life. He was one of a set of twins in an acardiac twin pregnancy and was what doctors referred to as the “pump” twin. Danie spent the first six months of his life in hospital, where he struggled with apnea, his heart stopping from time to time, low birth weight, delayed development, seizures, and more.

Since being discharged from hospital in 2023, Danie has been learning to crawl, walk, play, and talk.

On 8 December 2025, Danie suffered a 45-minute seizure. He was discharged the same day without medication but was later hospitalised again that night. After two weeks in hospital, a doctor initially reported that Danie had cerebral palsy and prescribed medication, instructing us to return after one month.
