My name is Tanya Eyssen, and I’m raising funds for my grandmother, Hazel, who is 79 years old. She is blind, very frail, and has a serious lung condition with a damaged rib in one lung. She also has a painful open wound that needs daily dressing.

Granny was born on 13 August 1946, and she gave birth to nine children. She spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Since my grandfather passed away 25 years ago, she struggled alone and only recently started receiving a small Sassa pension 

Her health has declined — she cannot walk without help, she’s blind, and her lungs make it hard to breathe. My mother takes care of her full-time, but we are overwhelmed trying to afford wound care supplies, food, and daily items like adult diapers, ointments, and gloves.

We are asking for help to cover:

Basic medical supplies (wound dressings, antiseptic, gloves)

Mobility aids (a walking stick and commode chair)

Nutrition and hygiene items
