🌱 Join Us in Keeping HORWOODS Beautiful! 🌱 Dear Community, Have you strolled through HORWOODS lately?

If so, you've likely noticed the potential of this urban oasis. But behind its charm lies a challenge – the struggle to maintain its condition.

The Urban Markets helps maintain the park by fixing taps, broken doors, broken toilets, stolen light bulbs and broken mirrors, fencing etc but unfortunately the vandalism gets so bad some months that we have no funds left to do much else.

We had bought garden equipment sometime ago but unfortunately this was all stolen last year, and we are slowly trying to replace what was taken.  

We have 3 eager employees which we pay that help once a week to mow the lawn and help fix up and maintain the park, but the issue is we need new equipment and a ride on mower.

We have relied on the municipality (which we pay each month to rent the space) to maintain the park and they are not fulfilling their commitment. They themselves, have no working mowers, no fuel, or any money.
