At Whispers of the Herd Rescue, we believe everyone and every animal deserves to know safety, kindness and love.

Some arrive at our gates broken, neglected, abandoned or simply unwanted. We rescue them, rehabilitate them, give them sanctuary when they need it, and help them find loving homes when they can.

But our dream has never been to simply build bigger fences and take in more animals.

We want to reach beyond our gates.

Through our animal welfare work, community outreach, school education and enrichment visits, we want to create compassion — for animals and for the people who share their communities.

We want children to grow up understanding kindness.

We want communities to know that help is available.

We want people to experience the joy animals can bring.

And we want animals to have a voice when they cannot speak for themselves.
