It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing to you, pleading for your help. I have no one else to turn to.

Circumstances:
I am 56 years of age, divorced, and living with my daughter and son-in-law in a very small town called Kenhardt, Northern Cape. During October last year, I had unforeseen setbacks near the end of last year and did everything possible just to survive. My daughter is expecting a baby in August while my son-in-law is working as a bartender at the local hotel. With my daughter now on maternity leave, we are barely scraping by financially and just managing the monthly rent.
I have managed to start a second-hand shop at the house as well as cooking and selling food to help with an income as getting a proper job at my age seems impossible after numerous attempts. The shop itself is not doing the turnover as expected and, in an attempt to promote the shop and sell more food, has started a few community projects like supplying sponsored food for the hungry people in the local community and knitting bedsocks for the preschool children in th...
