Hi there. My name is Leonard. I am the proud grandfather of Hayley Jackson, a beautiful and intelligent 15-year-old young lady who has been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, an aggressive cancer growing on Hayley's pelvis and hip bone. If left untreated, it can spread throughout her body, and the oncologist is particularly concerned about it spreading to her lungs. Hayley started her battle about 6-7 months ago. She lives in Durban but receives treatment in Cape Town.
Hayley's parents lack the necessary funds to cover all the medical expenses since they are on a limited medical scheme that doesn't cover all aspects of her treatment. Hayley's mom had to resign from her part-time job, and Hayley's dad has a job where he only gets paid for the work he does.
The funds raised will be used to cover all medical costs, accommodation, and transportation, relieving the financial burden on the young family.
