Hello Beloved Community,
This is our boy Leo who is 8,5 months old and came into our lives in December 2024.
He continues to be our greatest joy and teacher of fun, joy, learning, healing, presence, patience and love.
I have always wanted to be a mother but due to my own personal story I could not have my own. The one thing I always wanted is unconditional love. I knew that would be either with my own biological child or with a dog. My dream of being a mother came true with Leo. He really is my child and has been an absolute gift.
Unfortunately, our bundle of joy developed elbow dysplasia around 6 months old which initially displayed itself as an elbow injury. After sudden joint swelling of his left front leg joint, X-rays last week confirmed that it is a Ununited Anconeal Process that requires only one form of surgery because there are too many bone fragments loose in his elbow joint that can only be removed by keyhole surgery performed by a specialist orthopaedic surgeon.
