UPDATE ON JEANINE

Jeanine was taken to hospital by ambulance on Sunday 18 August 2024 at approximately 02:30.

While in the casualty unit, x-rays, a CT scan and an MRI were done. The only feedback received was that Jeanine had sustained a stable fracture of her pelvis.

She was sent home at approximately 01:15am on Monday morning - 24 hours after being involved in the car accident.

On Tuesday 20 August 2024 Jeanine started complaining of difficulty breathing, chest pain and a feeling of ‘heaviness’ on her chest.

A doctor kindly offered to consult with Jeanine and assess her injuries. Everyone that assisted was absolute stars. They were fantastic. They cleaned her wounds and put new dressings on, removed some pieces of glass from her hair and head and cleaned her up.

The doctor did x-rays on her chest, hand and ankle after Jeanine complained of severe pain and shortness of breath. The chest x-rays showed that she had a haemo-pneumothorax and that there was fluid, presumably blood, in her chest cavity. This has caused her lung to co...
