Help Alex represent South Africa in Houston, USA

Our amazing daughter, Alex Azevedo, has just been selected for the World Squash Federation Junior Men’s and Women’s Team and Individual Championships in Houston Texas, USA, from the 7th to the 24th of July 2024. This is a goal that Alex set for herself five years ago. It has been a privilege for Hugo and I to witness the complete dedication, discipline, sacrifice and resilience through so many more downs than ups, including heartbreaking losses and injuries.  She never considered quitting, she metabolised the lessons and found ways to keep going relentlessly.  

Alex is an incredible role model for her cousin Leila, just starting the same journey, and young squash playing girls. Squash is a brutal sport, and it takes fierce young ladies to keep fighting to achieve their goals. Some of you who know Alex, have seen this over the years.
