PLEASE HELP ANDREA!
Andrea was a “happy-go-lucky”, budding singer\ songwriter, performing at all your Durban favorite venues and was managing a Dog Parlour during the week.
Her world took a drastic turn. When her. body, gave up on her 9 weeks ago, she was admitted to hospital where she remains due to her body going into Addisons adrenal shock. Her body no longer being able to absorb the oral medication needed to keep her alive, so she is now completely reliant on IV support until a solution is found. This along with many other complications the specialists are dealing with, major joint instability, bladder no longer working properly and needing catheter assistance etc etc. Medical aid has been putting up red tape all over and are declining things or requesting more motivation. They will not cover an infusion pump for the meds to be administered regularly due to the fact that it is made to infuse insulin even though this could be my only option going forward. The machine alone is around 50k and then monthly consumables around 5k.
