My name is Arkin Marais, I am an 18-year-old student attending Paul Roos
Gymnasium High School. I have been blessed with the ability and opportunity to play a game I love, and I am honoured to have been selected to represent my country in the World Aquatics Men’s U18 Water Polo World Championships, Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 02 July to 09 July 2024.
I have been dreaming of this day for the past 10 years, believing that if I always did my best, God would do the rest.
To represent South Africa, I will need to pay R81 123 to Swim South Africa and know that with your help I will be able to “shoot” for gold.
I believe we are blessed to be a blessing and one day I hope to be able to pay it forward and help other young SA Champions realise their dreams.
