Today, Baby Alyssa's parents, Jade and Trysten, received devastating news—news no parent ever wants to hear. Their beloved 7 month old daughter Alyssa has been diagnosed with Hurler Syndrome (MPS I), a rare and serious genetic disorder. This unexpected diagnosis has turned their lives upside down. 

Immediate medical intervention is critical to manage Alyssa's symptoms and improve her quality of life. Unfortunately, the necessary treatments, consultations, and therapies may not be immediately covered by their medical aid, placing the family in urgent need of financial support. It is estimated just the enzyme treatment to help her liver will cost R78 000 per month, let alone all the other costs and medical aid may take up to 6 months to approve cover.
