Help build a daycare for underprivileged children in South Africa

Hi, my name is Peter Davis, and I am trying to raise £25,000 to build a permanent home for Voorstekraal Dagsorg, a daycare centre in the rural village of Voorstekraal in the Western Cape of South Africa.

The daycare centre was founded in 2021 by Lolita Kroukamp and a group of concerned parents who aimed to form a non-profit entity to address the significant under-provision of childcare and preschool facilities within the broader Voorstekraal community.

Fully qualified in, and passionate about Early Childhood Development, Lolita is currently in charge of the daycare centre and is supported by a lovely intern who recently completed her training in early childhood development. Despite the challenges posed by Covid and extremely difficult economic circumstances faced by a community dependent on seasonal agricultural contract work, Lolita and her small team strive to maintain the highest standards.
