My name is Candice Ferreira. I am 41 years old, a mother of three beautiful children, and I live in East London.

For the past two years, I have lived with severe daily pain caused by multiple large gallstones. It has made it difficult to eat, care for my children, and be the mom they deserve.

My condition is now affecting my liver, and my doctor has told me I need urgent, lifesaving keyhole surgery to remove my gallbladder before my health deteriorates further.

Without medical aid, I may have to wait until the end of the year at a government hospital. I have also been told that if more urgent surgeries come in, my operation could be delayed even further. I cannot afford to wait.
