Help cover community vet bills

East Coast Animal Care (NPC: 2017/292516/08) supports the local community by assisting with animal health care - both preventative and emergency. We particularly support the townships in the area where little to no veterinary care is available due to economic reasons. In emergency cases requiring clinical intervention we take these animals (most of which are people's pets) to a local veterinary clinic for assistance.

In some cases, like Benji and Lightening, we are able to utilise the vet for imaging and other procedures and have a happy ending!

In other cases, the diagnostics show that humane euthanasia is the only route* - such as Queenie who had sepsis, Rumi who had a femoral head separation and pelvic fracture, a piglet with paralysis of the hind limbs, and a kitten with neurological and spinal damage due to an accident. 

All of these visits cost money, even if the result is not what we hoped for. We are always there to support the community and its animals and we would love the community to support us doing that.
