About This Campaign

Emma is a 2 year old Golden Retriever who aims to be a fully trained service dog to her owner. Once her training is completed she will be the companion and helper to her already adoring ‘mom’ who experiences Early Onset Parkinson's as well as a debilitating chronic back injury, among other challenges.
Emma completed a year & a half of specialised Service Dog training (making her about three quarters of the way done) and returned home to continue through the owner-trained program. However in a terrible turn of events she was affected by poisoning! It is still unconfirmed as to through what, or how/why this happened.
This lead to an extremely touch and go period over a couple months were Emma barley survived and has incurred ongoing illnessess as an after effect (that hopefully will not be lifelong). The Vets are still actively fighting to keep her healthy and this means biweekly bloodwork and Vet visits, as well as extremly costly daily medications.
As of writing this the Vet costs have been R21,149.75
This has forced her owner have to use up...
