On Friday, 26 July 2024, something devastating happened. 3 little girls lost their Dad and a I lost the love of my life. You see Warren was taken abruptly from us on the 20th of July and has spent the week fighting to come back but unfortunately he lost his battle.
Warren, some time ago, made the decision to become an organ donor. He had decided that one day if something happened to him he would like to be able to save someone else’s life and on last Friday 9 people were going to get the gift of life thanks to Warren.
While I wish with all my heart that this was a gift that we did not have to give he is a hero in life and death.
On Friday friends and family joined Warren, his children and me at Life Hospital. Everyone lined the corridor outside the ICU along with the staff of the hospital in a walk of honour as he made his final journey into theatre to hand over his gift from his own life. The nurses sang to him as he traveled through and his little girls and I travelled alongside his bed with very heavy hearts and streaming tears.
