I would like to introduce you to an exceptional young talent who has captured the attention and admiration of our chess community—8-year-old Jayden Viljoen.
Jayden has been invited to represent South Africa in the U10 category at the World Youth Chess Championships in Greece from April 12–18, 2025. He is passionate about chess and strives to be the best, currently ranking among the top players in his age group.
He has participated in various tournaments, winning medals and earning Tshwane attire and Gauteng North Colors for chess.
Due to his young age, he needs his parents to accompany him on this journey, and, of course, his coach must also be there to support and guide him. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and any additional financial support for travel and expenses would be greatly appreciated.
