I am a single mother asking for help for my two sons, Gert and Adriaan, who were seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on 3 March 2023 while they were passengers travelling to school.
More than three years later, their recovery is still ongoing. Both boys continue to need medical care, rehabilitation and therapy. Their education has also been affected, and they are approximately a year behind because of their injuries, treatment and missed school.
MY STORY
I am currently unemployed, but I have approximately 15 years of hospitality experience, including reservations, front desk, night audit, administration, and finance.
I left my previous employment when I needed to relocate to find a suitable special-needs school for Gert. I was also studying accounting, hoping to build a more stable future.
Then the accident happened.
