Kenneth Phooko,  is a talented South African high jumper making waves on the national stage. After earning silver at the ASA National Championships with an impressive 2.13m jump, he has qualified to represent South Africa at the World Athletics U/20 championships. Kenneth under the mentorship of world class Coach, Jonathan Greyvenstein recently made further waves at the Schools Athletics championships where he broke the  South African boys u/17 high jump record with an amazing new Pb of  2.20m, putting him in World lead in the u/18 boys High jump category. 

This BackaBuddy campaign is dedicated to helping Kenneth and Coach Jonathan cover the costs of training, travel, accommodation, and competition expenses in  Eugene Oregon, USA from 5-9 August 2026, as he pursues his dream of becoming a world-class athlete.
