We find ourselves in a dire situation and are reaching out to our community for support in a time of need. 13 days ago, out of sheer necessity and desperation , we purchased a car from an individual on Facebook. He Promised it was in impeccable condition save for a minor gearbox issue, we took the plunge, knowing that reliable transportation was essential for our livelihoods as we are on no work no pay basis.

However, our hopes were quickly dashed when the car revealed multiple malfunctions immediately after the purchase. From a leaking carburetor to a catastrophic gearbox failure within a mere 40km of driving, our supposed solution to transportation woes has become a financial nightmare. Where in three days it cost us R700 to use Bolt to get to work and back home. 

Today, we sat stranded on the roadside, the victim of an overheating engine and a cracked radiator that bears no sign of it being recent damage. Despite our efforts to reason with the seller, we've been met with indifference and a cold reminder of the "as is" agreement we were coerced into signing.
