We are incredibly proud to share that Gretchen Apollis, a dedicated learner from Oudtshoorn High School, has been selected to represent her school and community on a prestigious Academic Achievers Tour to the United States.

This remarkable opportunity, taking place during the September/October 2026 school holidays, is reserved for a select group of South Africa’s top-performing academic learners. Gretchen has truly earned her place through hard work and excellence — achieving 5 A’s and 2 B’s in her first-term matric exams.

Gretchen is not only a high achiever, but also a young woman with a clear vision for her future. Her dream is to study towards an LLB Law degree next year, and this international academic experience will play a powerful role in shaping her path, exposing her to global standards of education and inspiring her journey in the legal field.

During this 11-day international tour, she will visit some of the world’s most renowned universities, including MIT, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Princeton, across cities like Boston, New York, and Washington D.C...
