The Early Childhood Development Program at Children of Light Educare (COLT) provides free, quality education to children living in impoverished communities in Athlone and Lansdowne, Cape Town. The vision is to provide “Integral Education that nurtures the innate divinity and potential of children”. The Educare serves the needs of 56 children and their families, providing them with free education, transport to and from their homes, 3 nourishing meals, health and social support, help with primary school placement, and homework support for past learners. COLT is run by a team of 5 fulltime staff and a group of dedicated volunteers.
As a volunteer at COLT I am directly involved with fundraising and the governance of the Educare through the operations committee. Please help me reach my fundraising target for this noble cause. All money raised will be used to educate, feed or support a child in need. God bless.
