Help Isobel Complete 1st Year at Wits

We are raising R77,301 by the end of June to cover Isobel’s university fees at the University of the Witwatersrand after funding fell through. She also needs R5,000 per month for accommodation and transport. Any support will help her stay and succeed.

My name is Ilse, and I am a mother who is incredibly proud of my daughter, Isobel. She is a hardworking, kind, and determined young woman with a deep dream of studying a BSc in Biological Sciences at Wits.

Early this year, Isobel received her acceptance. It was a moment of pure joy for our family, but it came so late that we had almost no time to apply for bursaries or scholarships. We tried anyway, hoping something would come through, but unfortunately, none did.

She applied for NSFAS funding, but was declined, and we are yet to receive the automated loan. Her stepdad, Oliver, tried to secure a private loan to support her, but without stable employment, the banks would not approve it.
