Help Janine Fight Cancer

Hi everyone,

One of my best friends, Janine, has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly difficult time for her, her husband Lesh, and their young son Phoenix.

Janine is not on a medical aid plan, and while she was willing to undergo treatment at a government hospital, the type of radiation she urgently needs isn't available there. The treatment that is available would also likely mean long waiting times when she really needs to get treatment started as soon as possible.

The initial six week radiation and chemotherapy treatment plan requires a substantial upfront payment, and without this, her access to the right care is at risk.

We are trying to raise R300 000, which will cover her radiation, chemotherapy, and doctors' fees. However, this amount doesn’t include other expenses like potential future blood transfusions (she’s already had two), follow-up appointments, or additional support like counseling.
