Hi everyone! Seeing it is breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought to take the initiative to help my close childhood friend in her very long fight against her own kind of cancer.
My friend Kamo has been through more than anyone deserves, especially at such a young age. I wish she could live the life of a normal 28 year old without the constant fight against tumours, heart problems and endless surgeries, but sadly, she has another big battle ahead of her.
Kamo has been sick since we were children and has undergone a series of surgeries and treatments for her kidneys, brain and heart. She is now facing an even more aggressive form of cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).
In simple terms, ALL is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It affects the body's ability to produce healthy blood cells and requires intensive treatment. It is a serious illness, and Kamo is now facing this fight after everything she has already been through.
