Help Kevin Pretorius Fight a Grave Injustice
Kevin Pretorius is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence without bail pending appeal following a tragic incident in 2020 during lockdown. What began as an act of kindness — allowing young people to stay free of charge at his closed river lodge at their own risk — has resulted in a conviction for double homicide under dolus eventualis.
The punishment does not fit the circumstances. Serious concerns have been raised about how the matter was investigated and prosecuted, and his defence argued that the legal requirements for intent were not met.
Kevin now faces a decade behind bars while awaiting the opportunity to fully challenge the outcome through appeal.
For his two teenage daughters, the emotional toll has been devastating. For Kevin, the loss of freedom, reputation, and livelihood is immeasurable.
