Meet Kian – an 11-year-old chess player from Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, South Africa, with a big passion, a determined spirit, and a dream to represent his country on the chessboard.

Kian started his chess journey when he was just 7 years old. By the age of 8, he was playing competitively, and since then, he has continued to work hard, learn, grow and challenge himself on the chessboard.

🏆 Two International Opportunities

Through his dedication and hard work, Kian has qualified to participate in both the:

♟️ FIDE World Schools Chess Championship
♟️ African Schools Individual Chess Championship

These are incredible opportunities, allowing Kian to compete against talented young players from across the world and across Africa.

His upcoming trip to Namibia for the African Schools Individual Chess Tournament is a particularly exciting milestone in his journey.
