Help Kids Are Kids Get Wheels Of Hope

My name is Luke Koeries, I’m 26 years old, and I’m the founder of a nonprofit organization called Kids Are Kids.

I started Kids Are Kids at the age of 16 after losing my father — a proud South African Police Officer — to cancer when I was just 9 years old. Being raised by a single mother who did her best with what little she had taught me the true meaning of resilience, love, and community. Growing up, I knew what it felt like to go without — and I made it my mission to help children who were facing even greater challenges.

Over the past 11 years, Kids Are Kids has become a safe haven for children in underprivileged communities — children who often don’t receive the love, support, or opportunities they deserve.

Through our programs, we aim to empower, protect, and inspire.
We currently run:
