Hi, I’m Gerhard — and I’m writing this with a heavy but hopeful heart.
I’ve known Kobus since high school — the kind of friend who could fix anything, make you laugh even when the world felt dark, and who built his life around helping others. As an electrician, Kobus literally made sure people could see the light.

But today, he’s the one struggling to see it.

⚡ A Life Turned Upside Down

A few months ago, Kobus’s world changed completely.
What started years back with a freak bus accident that damaged his arm, spiraled into a chain of medical complications — two knee replacements, a hip replacement, multiple surgeries, infections, and endless hospital stays.

Then came the worst blow: septicemia spread through his body, leaving doctors with no choice but to amputate both his legs. His arms have now lost function too.

He’s alive — but the cost of survival has been enormous, physically, emotionally, and financially.
