Update 17 September 2026: Lakeisha is going in for an operation tomorrow for the fractured collarbone. Doctors still need to evaluate her C1 and C2 vertebrae for her neck injury to see if she needs an operation. She will need to be transferred to Durban Hospital. She is so scared. Please keep her in your prayers.
Update: Lakeisha is currently in Port Shepstone Hospital. They are waiting for the swelling in the brain to come down. She is in a lot of pain and cries a lot. We are waiting to hear about an operation on her neck. She is also battling to hear; her ear is sore…think from swelling. Thank you to everyone who has contributed; the family really appreciates each and every donation. The parents travel every day to and from the hospital twice a day. We don't know what's gonna happen going forward or what her needs will be. We know she will need homeschooling and many things to help with her aftercare as well. So funds will be used for medical bills and petrol.
