I’m Zimkita Makwetu from Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape. I’m raising funds to open Cofi Canteen, a small food outlet at Cofimvaba Hospital, where hundreds of patients, staff, and visitors spend long hours without access to hot, affordable meals.
My goal is to create a warm, convenient space offering nutritious, low-cost food and drinks to people queuing for care, while also creating jobs for local youth. I’ve already developed a proposal and business plan, and I’m now seeking community support to raise funds for equipment, stock, and setup costs — estimated at R55,000.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to feeding more people and building something meaningful for our town.
