About This Campaign
17-year-old Karlina Matladi, from a village in Sekhukhune, Limpopo, has just passed her matric with distinctions in Mathematics, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Life Orientation. However, she is unable to travel to the University of Johannesburg, where she has been accepted to study Actuarial Science.
Karlina lives with her unemployed mother, who struggles with health issues, her older brother, who is currently unemployed and her grandmother, who relies on a SASSA grant. She has been provisionally approved by NSFAS, but her allowance will only be available mid-February. In the meantime she needs to attend orientation and settle in before classes begins. She needs a suitcase, bedding, utensils, groceries, and money for transport to Johannesburg. She believes she only needs R3000 to help her.
Help support Karlina and get her to Johannesburg!
