Lizelle Muller is a 48 year old mother from Kimberley, South Africa, devoted to her 13 year old son who lives with autism and severe ADHD. She is a loving wife and mom whose world revolves around caring for her family.

Without the support of medical aid, Lizelle underwent a neck operation at a government hospital. Sadly, due to complications following the surgery, she lost functional use of her left arm and left leg. Since then, her life has changed dramatically.

Lizelle is currently bound to a secondhand manual wheelchair, which she cannot operate independently because of the limited function in her left arm. To regain her independence, she urgently needs an electric wheelchair that she can control herself. This would allow her the freedom to move around independently, better care for her son and participate more fully in daily life.

Simple daily activities have become significant challenges. She struggles to transfer safely from her wheelchair to the toilet because of its height and requires a toilet height extension to make transfers safer and more manage...
