There were no leaks or tears, and Lizette is currently awaiting further feedback from her doctor regarding the next step. Her family is under significant financial pressure, as she has undergone a CT scan and two myelograms.

The panel met and is still against the surgery because it carries a high level of risk.
Lizette’s current doctor is referring her to another doctor at Unitas Hospital for a second opinion. They will then decide whether the surgery is a possible option or not.
Lizette is currently spending the week at Unitas Hospital, where she is undergoing further tests and scans (MRIs, a CT scan, and an angiogram). The doctor at Unitas suspects there may be a tear or leak somewhere causing the pressure. Medical aid benefits are currently exhausted due to all the previous scans and medical examinations.
