Help Louisca Heal and Reclaim Her Future
Sixteen-year-old Louisca Leipoldt from Hartbeespoort is a kind, loving, and deeply compassionate young lady whose life changed in a single, heart-breaking moment.
Louisca is a dedicated student with big dreams. She works hard at school and hopes to one day become a veterinarian, driven by her deep love for animals and her natural caring nature. Unfortunately, her journey toward those dreams has been abruptly and painfully put on hold.
What began as a simple family outing on the 18th of January turned into a devastating nightmare. While checking on her younger sister at a playground, as the protective big sister she has always been, Louisca’s foot became caught on playground equipment. She stumbled forward, dropped to her knees, and as her foot remained trapped, she fell backwards. In that instant, her femur (upper leg bone) snapped, a shocking injury, as the femur is one of the strongest bones in the human body and does not break easily.
