Help Lutho Save His Smile
In the small mountain village of Hogsback lives an 18-year-old young man named Lutho Copiso. Lutho has grown up without parents, without financial support, and without many of the basic opportunities most of us take for granted. Despite this, he has a warm spirit, a gentle nature, and a determination to create a better future for himself.
Recently, we noticed Lutho struggling with severe tooth pain. He had been living with it quietly for months, not wanting to burden anyone. We were able to take him to a local dentist, who removed the tooth that was causing him the worst pain. But the dentist also gave us sobering news - if we don’t act now, Lutho is at risk of losing many more of his teeth.
He urgently needs 10 fillings to save his remaining teeth. The total cost for this treatment is R6 900. For someone with no income and no family to help, this is far beyond his reach.
