Mahlogonolo Buthelezi is a 21-year-old Wing/Fullback from Pretoria with a clear dream to keep developing as a rugby player while also securing his education.
He has been selected for the U21 Limpopo Blue Bulls training squad and is currently on the 12-month Harlequins high-performance programme at UXi Sport. He is fully committed to the dual pathway of elite rugby and education.
In August Mahlogonolo suffered a minor fracture to his right arm. He is in a cast at the moment, with the cast expected to come off at the end of September. Recovery is progressing well and he is determined to return to full training as soon as he is cleared.
The family is under real financial pressure. There is currently an outstanding balance of R41,500 on his high-performance programme fees. Every contribution goes directly towards keeping him in the programme so he can continue training and studying.
