My beautiful daughter, Makayla-Rose, a vibrant young woman of 25 years old, is currently facing a sudden and devastating health crisis that has completely stolen her mobility.
For the past week, our lives have been turned upside down. Makayla-Rose has experienced a catastrophic deterioration in her condition:
She has suddenly lost the ability to walk. She has no feeling from the waist down.
She is enduring excruciating, unrelenting pain in her back.
This sudden and extreme progression has left her completely dependent on our care, unable to manage her basic daily needs. The thought of this beautiful young life being restricted in this way is heartbreaking and terrifying.
The Long, Frustrating Journey to a Diagnosis
This crisis is the culmination of a long, frustrating two-year battle. Since January of last year, Kayla has suffered from unrelenting lower back pain. We desperately sought answers, visiting numerous doctors, chiropractors, and hospitals.
