About This Campaign
My name is Makhosini Simelane and come from Dobsonville, Soweto. I was diagnosed with polio at the age of 4 years old and have been living with disability my whole life.
Although living with a disability isn't easy, I have found a help from a non-profit called Phila Sonke Wellness Initiative (PSWI). Through their support group program I have found friendship, confidence and a new sense of purpose.
On Sunday 26 July 2026, I will be walking the 702 Walk the Talk 5 km to help raise money for PSWI and help them help many more people like me. I want other people living with disabilities to have the same chance that I have had—to receive support, build confidence and believe in themselves. PSWI helps people in Soweto access rehabilitation and wellness services that many would never be able to afford.
Please support my walk if you can. Every donation, big or small, will help PSWI continue changing lives.
Thank you for helping me show that a disability does not stop a person from making a difference.
