Help Mark, Setho & Keglu After House Fire

My family is living through something no family should ever have to experience.

During the terrible storm in Cape Town, my uncle Mark, his wife Setho, and their 8-year-old son Keglu were simply trying to keep warm. They lit a fire in their home on one of the coldest nights… and then the unimaginable happened.

Their chimney exploded.

In seconds, their home turned into a nightmare of flames, smoke, panic, and screams.

My uncle Mark suffered devastating burns and is currently fighting for his life in hospital. Doctors have told us his chance of survival is only 20%. We are taking things hour by hour, praying every single day that he pulls through.

Little Keglu, only 8 years old, suffered severe burns to his face and legs. Seeing a child go through this kind of pain is something I cannot even put into words. He should be safe at home watching cartoons and playing with friends, not lying in a hospital bed terrified and in agony.
