Hello, my wonderful community!
I'm Mason Fischer, a trans-masculine butch, and I would love it if you could join me on my journey to receive gender affirming care. Unfortunately, Medical Aids do not cover what they call “cosmetic procedures” like top surgery, despite it being a life-saving procedure for most trans-masculine people.
So I would like to ask for your help in self-funding this procedure and expediting the process! The biggest challenge is how expensive top surgery is, even at the lowest price.
I'll keep the page updated on the process, and keep all timeliness updated. For instance, I don't have a surgery date yet, but that will be added as we go! Same will go for recovery times, upcoming appointments and all that jazz!
The ball park has updated to between 80,000-100,000 ZAR (or 4500 - 5600 USD for international donators).
The estimated date for the ssurgery is June/July 2027, so we've got time to raise the funds!!!!
