Help me achieve my dream

Hi, my name is Marozia Verwey, and I’m a teen photographer from the Western Cape, South Africa.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past year, I’ve been borrowing a camera from my sister-in-law so I could gain experience, build a portfolio, and start doing small lifestyle photoshoots to earn money.

While I truly enjoy lifestyle photography, my real dream is to become a unit stills photographer .

To seriously pursue that dream, I need a mirrorless camera with a silent shutter. Film sets require photographers to work quietly during filming, and unfortunately the equipment needed for this career path is extremely expensive.

Since I started earning a little money from photography, I’ve been saving every spare cent toward a camera fund. But living on a farm far outside town makes things difficult. Every trip to town costs money, and I also help my family with everyday expenses whenever I can. At the pace I’m currently saving, reaching this goal on my own could take many years.
