Help me Complete my Degree

My name is Onkgopotse, and I am a student at Wits University, studying for a Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET, majoring in Mathematics and Science. I am passionate about becoming a teacher who inspires learners in these critical subjects and contributes to building a stronger education system in South Africa.

In 2023, during my first year, NSFAS introduced a residence fund cap. The residence I stayed in cost R77,000, but NSFAS only covered R45,000. This left me with a shortfall of R32,000 that I have been struggling to pay.

This debt has placed a heavy burden on me and my family. It affects my ability to continue my studies without constant financial stress, yet I remain determined to complete my degree and use my education to make a difference in my community.
