My heart is heavy as I write this, but I’m reaching out for help in one of the most difficult times of my life. I’m a mom of three beautiful children—my 10-year-old son and my 7-year-old twin daughters. Our family is going through a divorce that has been dragging on for over a year now, and it has left me in a desperate situation.

One of my twin daughters has faced unimaginable health challenges in her short life. She was born prematurely and spent five months in the hospital after birth. Over the years, she has endured four open-heart surgeries and is now in need of yet another operation. When she came home as a baby, she was on permanent oxygen and had a feeding tube. I had to give up my job for four years to care for her and her sister, who stayed home with me because of their fragile health.
