About This Campaign

Camilla is a 48-year-old single mother of two young adults and the sole provider for her family. She runs a small business from home and has always done her best to support her children—one of whom has high-functioning autism, and the other epilepsy and is currently studying classical music.
In January 2024, Camilla was diagnosed with nodular melanoma, which initially presented on her left shoulder. Despite surgery, further lesions were discovered over the following months. A PET scan later confirmed that the melanoma had spread to multiple areas of her body, including beneath her tongue, her lung, and other critical regions.
Genetic testing revealed that Camilla was BRAF-positive, allowing her to begin targeted therapy. This treatment initially worked well, significantly reducing pain and shrinking major lesions, including the one beneath her tongue. For a time, there was real hope that the disease was under control.
Sadly, since the launch of this campaign, Camilla’s condition has deteriorated rapidly.
