About This Campaign

My name is Bakhusele Mathupha, and I’m deeply committed to building a future of organic farming, agroecology, and sustainable food systems in South Africa.
I’ve been accepted into the African Organic Leadership Course (AOLC), facilitated by SAOSO and IFOAM – Organics International. This programme will equip leaders across Africa with the knowledge and tools to strengthen organic agriculture and support rural communities.
As the Chairperson of the Amathole District Extension Coordinating Forum (2025–2027), I see firsthand how much smallholder farmers can benefit from sustainable practices. Through this course, I aim to bring back new ideas, training, and opportunities that will help local farmers grow healthy food, restore soil, and improve livelihoods.
While I have raised funds for my travel from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town, I still need help covering the R6,000 registration contribution required for the course. The full training is valued at R60,000, and participants affiliated with organisations are asked to...
