This is not easy for me to write…⁣

For the last 12 years, I’ve been living with cancer. Many people know me as someone who shows up for others ~ through cancer support work, community fundraising, or simply being there when someone needs a hand to hold or a listening ear. Right now, sadly, I need help myself.⁣

I was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s B-cell Lymphoma at the age of 16. I went through 10 cycles of aggressive chemotherapy, and survived. Seventeen years later, at the age of 33, I was diagnosed with stage 2 estrogen receptive breast cancer in my right breast. My son, Grayson, was only 14 months old at the time. I underwent a mastectomy, reconstruction, and six cycles of chemotherapy, and thankfully, once again, I survived.⁣

In 2017, the cancer returned. This time it had spread to my liver. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, a condition that cannot be cured, only managed.
